Birthday Boy!

Today Todd turned 3. Wow! Where does time go, really? I remember the moment he was born. Todd picked McDonald's for lunch (what kid wouldn't!?) and then we went shopping for a cake for tonight. Also, to honour a long tradition on my dh's side.... Todd got to pick a box of ice cream. This is something that Steve's grandma used to always do, and I am ALL FOR IT! Of course, he doesn't get the whole box.... but it was his pick! And he picked this cute little Black Forest Cake for dessert too. Scott will get his turn in 2 weeks when he turns 4 :)

Sermon Notes

Yesterday the sermon was on Patience... here's a thought -

"Some of us have a lot of patience because we
haven't used any for a long time!"

Rub a Dub Dub!!

Tonight before bed we gave the kids a bath (ya know... gotta be clean for Sunday!). Since Elise has been sitting up so well in her blue bathtub, I thought we could just save some time and bath them all at once.... the boys loved having Elise in the tub with them - she had fun too!

Guitar Lessons

Well, I took the step and started guitar lessons a couple weeks ago. Today before my lesson I was running over my songs again and the boys really wanted to "practice" too. So, Scotty ran and got my old ukelele from Elementary school and Todd got the toy uke we picked up in Hawaii last year, and we all made some pretty beautiful music - let me tell ya!! Steve took some shots of us....

A Special Visit

On Tuesday afternoon my Auntie Marit, Cousins Maren, Mathew and Tammy came over with M & T's kids. We had a great visit and dinner together. Then Marit and Maren stayed with us and Mat, Tammy and the kids went to stay with friends.

We have had so much fun together - gabbing, stamping, shopping, cooking and dying each other's hair! Maren is off to India tomorrow for a nursing practicum... she's going to do so awesome! So, once I figure out what colour my hair really is, I might post a picture (the box says light mahogany, but it doesn't look like the girl's hair on the box!!!) Steve took a pic of us all during the "set" time, but he deleted it before I could upload it. Although, there are several digi cameras in the house right now due to company... so maybe he just grabbed someone else's camera by mistake! Won't that be a treat for them to discover!!!

Last Minute Stamping....

I feel the pressure... gotta just get a couple more things done before the kids come home. I mentioned yesterday that the kids have been away this week at my parents. Well tomorrow that all ends. It has been a great week, and I know that the kids have had as much fun as we have...

Some household things got accomplished this week, and we got to go on 3 dates. And I even did a bunch of stamping too! Here are a couple projects I did yesterday.

A crazy watercolour of my new Doodle This set.

A birthday invitation for my boys who will turn 3 and 4 in February and March. They are 2 weeks apart... yep, that makes them under a year apart!

Sleepy Todd

Some of you know that my kids are on a holiday this week! My parents came over last weekend to see us and they took the kids back with them for the week. So, since I don't have any new pics of the kids from this week, I wanted to post this pic of Todd. He was so tired last week that he fell asleep on the bottom step 2 whole hours before naptime! He slept there for close to an hour. He's a perfect fit for that step, eh?! Then he woke up and rolled onto the floor! Good thing he was on the bottom step!

Buddies!

Scott and Todd sporting their new $1 Walmart finds... guess they kind of look like pj's, but I thought I couldn't go wrong for a buck! Don't they look like such buddies in this picture?

And just now Todd came to me and said, "here's Mater - he's in the dark... I can't see him anymore!" That's creative. If you look closely you'll be able to see a bit of Mater, and his name in the bottom left corner.

IT's TIME!!!

That's right.... it's time to tune in your rabbit ears to Global TV (or whatever station brings you my favourite show) for the season premiere of SURVIVOR FIJI. Tonight at 8:00 pm. Tomorrow you can leave a comment about how you thought tonight's show went!

ps- if you have cable, or HDTV, or Satellite, those options will work too!

Flower RAK!

Thanks Aunt Esther for stopping in the other day with these pretty tulips - they sure brightened my day!

Over Too Soon!

Well, my first stamper's club has come to an end. I have really loved getting to know this awesome group of ladies and I will miss getting together with them each month. Some of them will join me again next month to start a scrapbooking club, but we won't be this same group anymore.

So, at our last club (last night) we all did a card swap. I love the creations that these gals made, and I'm so excited to share them!!

Aren't they awesome?!! Thanks ladies for a great time over the last few months.

Found a new Stamping Blog...

Just wanted to mention that I added a new blog for stamping inspirations to my list on the sidebar. Amy from the US has beautiful work and I just found her blog and wanted to share it with you!

Memory Lane Again!

Since I put a pic of me and my siblings on here the other day... (yes, the baby was me, then my brother and sister... but most of you guessed that!) I thought I would take you down memory lane for those of you that knew Steve growing up...

Makes me wish I had the "Lifecycles" stamp set from a year or so ago! The tricycle from that set would be perfect to scrap this pic on a page!

Zoo Day!

This morning I went on a "date" with my boys. We had a great time at the Zoo. The boys even put on a show for me at the Radical Raptors stage (the show only runs during the summer) and then had a snack at the Grizzly Bear (Shadow) outlook. We got to see Hazina take a dive and play in her beautiful home. The zookeepers waved at us as they drove by to feed the animals, and the boys got to walk on the train tracks because the train is not running this month while the track gets serviced.
